How to make a slideshow video from pictures
- Choose the shape: landscape for YouTube and TVs, vertical for Reels, TikTok and Stories, square for feeds.
- Add up to 20 photos and use the arrows to put them in order.
- Pick how long each photo shows and whether to fade between them, then press “Make video”.
Photos that don’t match the shape
By default, each photo is shown whole on a soft, blurred copy of itself, so nothing gets cut off: a portrait photo in a landscape video still shows heads and feet. If you’d rather fill the screen, tick “Fill the frame” and the edges are cropped instead. The thumbnails show exactly how each photo will look.
Good to know
- Videos are 1080p at 30 frames per second, which suits every major platform.
- iPhone HEIC photos need converting to JPG first. On an iPhone, set Camera, Formats to “Most Compatible” to take JPGs.
- The video has no sound yet. Adding music is coming in a future update.
Questions
How many photos can I use?
Up to 20 photos per video for now.
How long will the video be?
Number of photos times the seconds per photo. For example, 15 photos at 3 seconds each make a 45-second video.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The video is made on your device. Your photos are never sent anywhere.
Can I make a slideshow for Instagram Reels or TikTok?
Yes. Choose Vertical 9:16 and the video is made at 1080×1920, the size Reels and TikTok use.
Is there a watermark?
No. The video you save is exactly what the encoder produced: no watermark, no logo, no sign-up.
Which browsers does it work in?
It works best in Chrome and Edge on a computer. It needs a browser feature called WebCodecs. If your browser doesn’t have it, the page tells you before you start.
